Founding Engineer

We are looking for a founding engineer to build Jam with us. You will ship product end to end, from the schema up to the pixel, on a small team where the person closest to the problem is the person who fixes it.

We work in a design-engineering culture. The people who write the code also care how the thing feels. Taste, restraint, and details are treated as engineering concerns, not something you hand off after the logic works.

The traits that fit best here:

• Humble. Comfortable being wrong out loud so we get to the right answer faster.
• Team player. Reads the room, picks up unglamorous work, ships for the group.
• Curious across the stack. You do not need to be an expert everywhere, but you should want to touch every layer.
• A strong sense for how good software should feel.

Hackathon experience is a bonus. Not because we care about the trophies, but because the muscle of shipping a real thing under a real deadline is exactly the muscle we use every week.
